The Moby Wrap is a baby carrier that is made out of 100% cotton and is very soft and comfortable. This carrier, unlike others, wraps around your entire shoulders and back and is adjustable to meet your individual needs. This is a great feature since it helps to distribute your baby’s weight. It’s great for multitasking as well. This wrap frees your hands while keeping your child safe, warm and swaddled next to you. It is small enough to fit right into your diaper bag. It’s so comfortable and great for nursing discreetly.
For me, the Moby Wrap is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made as a mother. One of my daughters had a very bad case of colic. We tried everything to soothe her. Finally I decided to put her in the Moby Wrap and gently bounce up and down while sitting on the exercise ball. This worked like a charm. An added bonus was I got a little bit of exercise.
The only real downside to this product is it does take a little bit of time to learn how to wrap it tight enough around so the baby doesn’t slump. It took a few times to get it right, but once I did, it was easy. I found by putting little safety pin markers were a huge help.
Another small issue is there is so much fabric that it’s hard to put it on in a public area. The solution I found for this is to put it on before I left the house. When I arrived, I could easily put my daughter into it, snug as a bug, and we were ready to go.
As I mentioned earlier, The Moby Wrap, unlike other wraps I tried, is a one-size-fits all. This is great because it allows my husband and I to use the same wrap even though he is considerably taller than me.
As newborns, my daughters were so comfortable in the wrap that they easily fell fast asleep while having support for their heads. As they grew a little bigger, they enjoyed the comfort of being close to me, but also enjoyed being turned outward to watch the world around them.
My first Moby Wrap got a little stretched out. Because it is machine washable and dryer safe, it was easy to shrink it back into shape with an extra cycle in the dryer, ready to use again and again.
With all the great colors and fantastic custom fit design, the Moby Wrap has been a real lifesaver and well worth every penny of the price!
